Crystal Lodge on Monday performed a second degree ceremony on behalf of Henllys Lodge, passing Bro. Richard Sims to the degree of Fellow Craft. Massive thank you to Crystal for their kind assistance. Henllys Lodge members have visited 10 other lodge meetings so far this year, with 7 or more members at each visit. This illustrates that one of the many great things about Freemasonry is visiting lodges, socialising with old friends and making many new friends.
Blaen Brân Community Woodland (BBCW) group have received a donation of £1,000 from Henllys Lodge 8283.
The cheque was presented by Worshipful Master Gareth White, Charity Steward Phillip Davies and Lodge Almoner Stuart Howells.
The money will go towards the purchase of a PTO woodchipper for use within the woodland.

BBCW is a registered charity that runs Blaen Brân Community Woodland. It maintains the woodland for the people who use, support and enjoy the woodland and the area around it. Another double initiation for Henllys Lodge. The two initiates Bro’s Aron Hutchings and Anthony Gregory were impeccable, as were the Deacons. The Brothers who performed the charges W. Bro. Robert Fowler and W. Bro. Gerwyn Evans were word perfect and W. Bro. Tom Delaney delivered the working tools, also word perfect. Another great evening for all attending Henllys Lodge.

Valentines day evening will see Henllys Lodge hold a white table event.
Brethren from Henllys and the other lodges at the centre will be celebrating Valentines Day with their loved one. They will be enjoying a fine meal and entertainment provided by Emilie Parry-Williams who sang in “The Voice” 2022 receiving accolades from all the judges.
Wednesday 15th December saw Henllys Lodge hold its customary Christmas Carol Service at St. Illtyds Church, Mahmhilad, followed with a buffet, quiz and games at Pontypool Masonic Centre.
At our October meeting the Worshipful Master, W. Bro. G. White initiated into freemasonry Mr. R. D. Simms (centre).
Bro. R. D. Simms was proposed into freemasonry by his long time friend W. Bro. G. Evans who gave the charge to the initiate during the ceremony.
