This evening Henllys Lodge performed a double initiation ceremony. The initiates Christopher Hale and Raymond Han conducted themselves magnificently during the ceremony. This was the first ceremony of the new Masonic year for Henllys. All the officers were new to their roles and they delivered an impressive performance. More than forty brethren were present to enjoy the evening.
Brethren from Pontypool Masonic Centre were well represented at the annual Provincial Grand Lodge Meeting . There were nine members from Henllys Lodge, one of whom, Worshipful Brother Dave Llewellyn, was made Provincial Grand Junior Warden. The meeting was followed by a fine festive board.
Whilst the result for Wales was an unhappy one, the Brethren and their families enjoyed a Chicken Madras Kebab, rice, chips and poppadoms whilst watching the Rugby World Cup. Catering was again courtesy of Bro. Wayne Jones and hosted by Henllys Lodge. Keep watching for more social events.
W. Bro. Gareth White installed Bro. Alan Clayton as the new Worshipful Master of Henllys Lodge for the ensuing Masonic year. Over 60 brethren attended the installation. The Lodge presented a cheque for £2024 to the Deputy Provincial Grand Master (D.P.G.M.), R. W. Bro. Chris Evans, for the 2024 charity festival. The raffle at the festive board raised a further £325, for charity and Bro. David Coleman presented the D.P.G.M. with a further £170 for the 2024 festival, which was raised by brethren participating in a motorcycle ride.

Brother Stuart Keyte was this evening raised to the degree of Master Mason. Crystal Lodge kindly hosted the ceremony on behalf of Henllys Lodge. Sixteen members of Henllys attended the ceremony and festive board in support of Bro. Stuart Keyte. W. Bro. Dave Llewellyn delivered the third degree ceremony in an excellent manner assisted by members of both Crystal and Henllys Lodge. Another very enjoyable evening for all involved.
At the Henllys Election meeting, the members elected Bro. Alan Clayton as the Master Elect. In September he will be installed as the new Worshipful Master of Henllys Lodge. Bro. Richard Sims was at the same meeting raised to the sublime degree of Master Mason by W. Bro. Gareth White.

This evening saw the two brother’s Brother Heath and Brother Michael Baker raised to the sublime degree of Master Mason by Worshipful Bro. Gareth White.
The members of Henllys Lodge together with their guests and visitors celebrated the occasion with them in the Lodge Room and at the festive board.
Saturday evening the brethren of Henllys Lodge celebrated the Ladies who support them in Freemasonry. W. Bro. Gareth Whites wife, Adel, organised a fantastic evening. Dinner was followed by live entertainment provided by Award Winning Classical Soprano, Emilie Parry-Williams. We then danced the night away until midnight.
The raffle of 40 prizes raised the sum of £761 for the two nominated charities –
The Ladies only raffle raised a further £80 for charity.
This evening Brothers Graham Jones and Daryl Richards were raised to the degree of Master Masons by Worshipful Bro. Gareth White. Brothers Graham and Daryl were initiated into Freemasonry and raised to Fellow Crafts in double ceremonies, cementing their longstanding friendship.
Brother Stuart Keyte kindly donated a photograph of H.R.H. King Charles, which was taken in 1982, when he was the Prince of Wales and in full military uniform as the Colonel In Chief of the Parachute Regiment. The photograph is also signed by H.R.H.

After Raising Brother Shaw Jones to the degree of Master Mason his brothers sat down to enjoy a festive board to celebrate with hm.
