A great evening hosted by Henllys Lodge to celebrate Valentines Day with a white table event kindly organised by Worshipful Brother Gareth White and Adele, ably assisted by Brother Stuart Howells.
And a big thank you to Dave Llewellyn for the fun of the “Bingo Machine.”

A fantastic afternoon at Newport Masonic Centre to enjoy the rugby and raise money for T.L.C.
The Monmouthshire Light Blues hosted an afternoon for the Brethren from all over the Province, and, particularly from Henllys Lodge at Pontypool Masonic Centre, to enjoy an afternoon of rugby and socialising, and in the process raising much needed funds for Teddies For Loving Care.
Brother Talbot Thrush attended Lodge of Unity No. 98 in the village of Turre, Spain, who were performing a double initiation. The Lodge welcomed two new Brothers at their Initiation Ceremony, Bro. Luke Homer and Bro. David Fox. The Lodge was blessed with many visitors from both the UK and other Spanish Lodges. The Lodge also recognised the 50th Anniversary later this month of W.Bro. Andy Milne becoming a Freemason….a wonderful achievement and inspiration to all. Following the meeting an Excellent Festive Board was held at the Hostal Rural in Turre. All in all, it was certainly a night to remember.
12 Members of Henllys Lodge yesterday met at a local pub for a quick and quiet Christmas drink. A great time was had by all – Brothers Chris Rann, Phillip Davies, Gareth Charles White, Thomas Delaney, Jeff Mears, Alan Clayton, Ceri Morgan, Dave Coleman, David Llewellyn, Stuart Howells, Stuart Keyte and Daryl Richards.
Monday evening saw Henllys Lodge conduct its third Initiation/First Degree ceremony of this Masonic year. Worshipful Master Alan Clayton initiated Gareth White into Freemasonry. The ceremony was followed by a well attended festive board.

Henllys Lodge’s traditional Christmas Carol Service saw over 70 people enjoy a fantastic evening of singing and quizzing. The quiz was hosted by the Deputy Provincial Grand Master, Chris Evans, who also lead and conducted the carol singing. A fine buffet was enjoyed after the quiz, which helped prepare everyone for the carol singing. A raffle saw the event raise £255 for charity.
12 Days of Christmas – the final production.
After two practice runs we finished up with a fine rendition of the 12 Days of Christmas.

This evening saw Henllys Lodge perform another double initiation ceremony. The Worshipful Master delivered an excellent ceremony, ably assisted by all his officers.
Four Henllys Brethren visited Pagham Lodge number 8280, near Bognor Regis on Saturday supporting Brother John Coombs who is a member of both Pagham and Henllys Lodge’s. Pagham delivered an outstanding second degree ceremony passing Brother Charles Stuart to Fellow Craft Freemason. W. Bro. Peter Brewer presented the extended working tools in an exemplary manner and Bro. Talbot Thrush presented the explanation of the Tracing Board.

This was followed by the Festive Board where W.Bro. Gareth White presented the Worshipful Master with a copy of the Monmouthshire Masons 2024 Festival Music C.D. After the Festive Board the Brethren retired to the bar area to make arrangements for a reciprocal visit to Henllys by Pagham Lodge and continuing visits in the years to come.
